Thank you for choosing WedMate to invite your loved ones. These terms explain what you get, how payments and refunds work, and what you and your guests can expect from us.
WedMate is an online wedding invitation service, a product of TBD Weddings LLP, Hyderabad, India (“WedMate”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
These terms apply when you visit thewedmate.com, buy a WedMate invite, or open an invite someone has sent you. By doing any of these, you agree to them.
When you buy WedMate, you get:
You can try any theme until you create your first link. After that, your theme is fixed, but its colours and every detail of your invite can still be changed at any time.
You log in with your mobile number and a one-time code sent on WhatsApp. Please keep your phone safe, as anyone who receives your codes can open your studio.
You must be 18 or older to buy WedMate.
Prices are shown in Indian rupees on our website and at checkout. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
Our prices may change from time to time, but never for an invite you have already bought.
Your invite is ready to build the moment you pay, so purchases are generally non-refundable.
If something on our side stops your invite from working and we cannot fix it, write to us within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. Approved refunds reach your original payment method within 5 to 7 working days.
The names, photos and other details you add remain yours. You allow us to store and show them only to run your invite.
Please only upload photos and content you have the right to use. We may remove anything that is unlawful, offensive or misleading.
To open your invite, a guest shares their name and mobile number and enters a code sent to them on WhatsApp. This keeps your invite private to the people you send it to, and shows you who has opened it.
Your guests’ details, RSVPs and messages come only to you. Please use them only to plan your wedding, and never for marketing. Our privacy policy explains how we look after them.
Gifts go directly from your guests to the UPI account on the QR code you add. WedMate never receives, holds or processes this money.
The amounts in your gift notes are what your guests tell us. Please check your QR code before you share your invite.
Our themes, artwork, code and the WedMate name belong to us. Your purchase lets you use your theme for your own wedding invite. Please do not copy, resell or reuse our designs elsewhere.
We work hard to keep every invite online at all times. Now and then the service may be briefly unavailable, for example during maintenance or a problem with an internet or hosting provider, and we will always work to restore it quickly.
As far as the law allows, WedMate is provided as it is, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not responsible for indirect losses, or for what others do with an invite you have shared.
You can stop using WedMate and ask us to delete your invite at any time. We may suspend an invite that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
